We have designed a wellness plan that is specifically suited for the special needs of our senior companions. This preventative health care plan is important for the early detection of potential health problems common to senior animals. Early detection can mean a better quality of life for your pet.

Our senior wellness plan includes the following:

• A complete physical exam
• A complete blood profile to determine the health of the internal organs.
• A urinalysis for the detection of kidney disease, diabetes, urinary tract infection, etc.
• A thyroid test to check thyroid function. It is not uncommon for older cats to be hyperthyroid and older dogs to be hypothyroid.
• Chest x-rays for the detection of heart or lung abnormalities.

Further tests may be recommended.
